Allow me a moment to offer you insight into who I am. My core belief centers on the notion that my best work emerges when I’m contributing to the growth and enhancement of others’ skill sets. I approach each task with dedication and a commitment to excellence. As a perpetual learner, I make it a priority to stay abreast of software advancements, industry standards, and best practices. Diligence defines my work ethic; I tackle projects with unwavering determination, ensuring timely completion, exceptional quality, and utmost satisfaction among stakeholders.
In my previous chapter, spanning 13 years, I was immersed in the world of education as a middle and high school math teacher. I found immense fulfillment in guiding students and witnessing those illuminating “a-ha” moments. Continual growth and self-improvement have always been central to my life’s journey. Recognizing my desire for further fulfillment without straying from a career rooted in helping others learn, I transitioned into instructional design.
Instructional Design Certificates
I am proud of my years as an educator, it gave me invaluable skills and knowledge in how to best fit the learning objectives to my learners and work with a variety of skill gaps. I am equally as proud that I learned the specifics and technical aspects of Instructional Design through the Applied Instructional Design Academy; it gave me the working knowledge and experience needed to play a vital role in solving organization’s needs. The following certificates each represent a skill or software knowledge acquired through project based learning with peer and mentor review, reflection, and resubmission. All badges were earned through Credly, please click here to learn more about each badge and my certifications.

Outside of work, you’ll typically find me in one of several modes: embracing my roles as a mom and wife, hitting the pavement in runner mode, or actively managing my social calendar.

Above all else, my family holds the utmost importance in my life. I cherish spending quality time with them, creating lasting memories, and exploring new destinations together through travel. While our game nights may occasionally become spirited, it’s been a joy to witness and guide my 5 and 7-year-olds in learning the valuable lessons of both gracious winning and losing.

Running and endurance competitions have become my second passion! My journey began after college when I completed my first 5k and was instantly hooked, prompting me to register for a half marathon. Experiencing the euphoria of a runner’s high solidified my love for the sport. Since then, I’ve eagerly participated in numerous races nationwide, including 7 full marathons, over 75 half marathons, and countless shorter races. In 2023, I became a certified run coach, dedicating myself to helping fellow enthusiasts achieve their pace and distance goals. The next step after running was to try something that not only tested my endurance, but tested my grit too. Enter HYROX to the arena! I am now a HYROX athlete, which is a hybrid athlete competition, and I am hooked.

When I’m not prioritizing family time or hitting the pavement, I stay engaged by nurturing my social connections. Whether it’s unwinding with friends at an axe-throwing session, showcasing my bowling prowess, or embarking on a day trip to wine country for wine tasting with my girlfriends, I thrive on planning and participating in social gatherings with loved ones.
